achievement.

while i was serving my notice at ddb, i mentally worked on a list of things to do when i am on my break.a break that didn’t know its end date.the list included reading, cycling, jogging, cooking, cleaning and reading more of my bible.this is my 3rd and final week of my break before i freelance at dentsu for 2 months!i am totally embarrassed to say but i must.i didnt read more than 4 pages of the bible; i have been at JOHN for long long time.i went to the gym once and was told that i am going to be replaced by a more committed individual.more about the gym another day.

but hey!i cooked at least twice a week, spent time with my family, slept plenty, met friends and most importantly,i cleaned my fridge.today i cleaned mr panasonic!he is so happy now that he is squeaky clean.just need to fill him up coz he looks far too empty now.took me 3 hours but was time well spent, i say.i so proud of myself.

this is my achievement for today.what is yours?

OH i started blogging too!why?instead of only talking to myself which i do all the time and will continue to do so, i decided i will write.i used to enjoy writing when i was in school.i used to write love letters to my partner in secondary school you know!heeha!the blog isn’t here for a specific reason for now; it’s just a platform for me to voice my thoughts, what i did, where i went etc etc.its basically what i heartsmellhearseetaste.most of you should find me boring and will never come back to read me but its okay.

jeans.

i had so much fun yesterday trying out jeans.i didnt leave home planning to buy jeans or anything for that matter.it was meant to be a simple afternoon – lunch with weiling, meet marcus my financial advisor to collect my documents and cut my hair.but fresh out of the salon and feeling good, i decided to go window shopping and show off my hair!ha!

most places are on sale except ZARA!wonder what they are waiting for or is the sale over?me don’t know and dont care.i dont own anything from zara but a blue dress that was bought during a sale.i cant afford their pretty stylish clothes.but i still walked in for a look and tried on a pair of slim fit jeans which cost $59.90. Nice?

i like the way it gathers at the ankle. anyway i wasnt sure if i need a new pair of jeans and decided to wait and see; perhaps the sale is tomorrow i told myself and walked out.

next stop was pull and bear.think this is my second visit to the shop.never quite took a liking to their stuff coz i felt they appealed to a much younger crowd or at least to those who felt they were young!heehee!but hey, i tried on 2 pairs of jeans and i liked them both!they were so affordable at $39.90!my kind of pricing!

the first pair i tried:

the second pair i tried. love the 3 buttons.

guess which pair of jeans i bought in the end? shopping is so fun.especially when it is unplanned and easy on the pocket.

my hair.

i cut my hair last year after the wedding.been wanting to go short for sometime but didnt have the guts to do it and look like a butch for the wedding.PLUS i know the growing out period is a pain.so in december, the hair went short in the safe hands of aisah; someone i havent seen since l left sq in 2006.in jan, the hair went shorter, almost like pixie style.got some good feedback and most importantly of all, i loved it!i felt YOUNG and FRESH!

but my dad and grandma hate my hair!ha!do i care?NO!But i am growing back my hair.this is my second month of the growing out period.its painful.hate my hair!its messy and all over the place and i cant be bothered neither do i know how to manage it.

so i went to aisah yesterday for a trim.”you sure you want to grow it back?” she asked. with a simple nod of my head, she went about fixing my hair; making it tidy and presentable.

i could not help but take a picture of myself in the toilet at lucky plaza!

first date.

yesterday was our first official date since we got married in sept 2009. the night before we had watched date night on DVD and we didn’t want to become like the characters in the movie > ROOM MATES! we have only just gotten married and have no kids to fuss over. SO WHATS THE PROBLEM? work is exhausting and consumes all of our energy and time during the weekdays. when weekend comes, its housework, dinner with parents, church, grandma, groceries and so the list goes. BUT the culprit is US. we have become way too lazy and comfortable to make an effort to date one another.we dont even dress up.dating is not only about going some fancy dinner or a movie or shopping.it is more than just doing an activity together.i feel it’s the whole package.doing something plus dressing up and the EMOTIONS.its like the real dating.remember your first date?yup, that’s what i mean!!

i guess its hard to experience the first date emotions again since we have been dating for 3 years and have come to know each other pretty well.but we tried and had fun.i wore a dress that he has never seen before and actually spent $5 to blow dry my notorious hair.the dress must have been decent for he said “we are not going to eat cheap food with you in that dress!”he was quite dashing himself.he recently discovered a mr class, a korean menswear and we both love it.

dinner was at hooters, followed by a slow walk along the singapore river which was bustling with colours and life, then to a moroccan lounge for mint tea and mint shishah.we ended the gorgeous night with 2 scoops of gelato! perfect.

i love you!

Casio Exilim.

Me with my camera. This is actually the second camera which Timmy and I have bought since we started dating. The first was a Panasonic and lasted for less than 3 months. Purely our fault. It fell, broke and died.

So we gonna cherish this little baby for its going to capture loads of memories! Yesterday was my first day outdoor with the picture taker! Enjoy my works or rather god’s works 😀
